Disabled Access Solutions and Platform Lifts
There are many solutions available for all types of buildings and applications. All products are suitable for either domestic or commercial use. Our products conform to the Lift Machinery Directive and prEn81-41.
Platform lift without a car
For short travels of up to 2m a platform lift without a fully enclosed car is suitable. There are different platform sizes available and entrance configurations are flexible to suit the specific application. These types of platform lift are for accompanied and unaccompanied use.
Platform lift with a car
For travels over 2m full lift cars with walls and suspended lighting are available. This travel requires either a constructed lift shaft or an enclosure. Standard doors are manual hinged but a full range of automatic centre or side opening automatic doors are available. Fully automatic car and landing doors like those on a passenger lift are also available. For lift cars with car doors the call buttons are latched which means that continuous pressure controls are omitted. Again these types of lift are suitable for accompanied and unaccompanied use.
Inclined platform lift
When it is not possible to accommodate a vertical platform a staircase can be accessed using an inclined vertical platform. These can be installed onto a straight or curved staircase and are suitable for one person standing or wheelchair application. Mountings can be floor or wall mounted. In cases of high reliance an emergency power back up system can be incorporated to allow up to 10 cycles when mains power is switched off due to a national grid failure.
