Repair
We are able to carry out all types of repair work from simple minor replacement of parts to more complicated fully comprehensive repair work. Our engineers are fully trained to operate on all types and makes of lift ensuring you that we endeavour to complete the repair work competently and on time. With spare parts readily available and connections with lift component manufacturers in Europe lead times are kept to a minimum meaning your lift is out of service for the least amount of time.
With all lifts within our service portfolio regular servicing highlights required repairs. Normally, within one week of a reported repair our repair estimators will forward a full specification and quotation detailing the work required. When a lift is out of service or a safety defect is found the fault will be immediately telephoned to the regional office to enable an immediate report to be given to the client. Category 1 required repairs will always be reported to the premises manager by the engineer to ensure that quick steps can be taken to commence the repair procedure.
Repairs generally fall into the following categories:
| Category 1 | Lift failed and out of service. Lift turned off due to serious safety defect. |
|---|---|
| Category 2 | Worn component that is highlighted will fail. |
| Category 3 | Planned repair. Cosmetic finishing. Oil change. |
All work is controlled by method statements and is accompanied by a risk assessment prior to commencing work. Our engineers work in accordance to the British Standard ‘Safe working on lifts’ and each van contains required safety equipment to ensure that the correct safe working practise is adhered to.
If you do not have a service contract on your lift and are concerned that a repair is required, please contact one of our centres and our staff will advise on the best procedure to ensure that your lift is safe and reliable.
